THE DAVIS HOUSE

Built in 1811, The Davis House is located in the rural community of Cohocton, New York at 62140 State Rt. 415, (911 renumber formerly 9980 Wallace Rd. 415 S.) This Federal-Style home was built by Daniel H. Davis, nephew of Ethan Allen of the Green Mountain Boys. This vintage home, still boasts stenciling from the early 1800's. Give us a call, 585-384-5747--we are always happy to relate stories of the house, including the tales of train-robber and counterfeiter, Joe Rosenkrans and our resident ghost.  Currently not open to the public. We are at The Windmill every Saturday, plus Memorial Day, July 5th and Labor Day.
